Mel Ochoa is an MBA candidate at NYU Stern and a fellow in the Catherine B. Reynolds Program for Social Entrepreneurship. Prior to graduate school, he spearheaded marketing and PR at the nationally recognized Bay Area Discovery Museum in Sausalito, Calif. -- a family destination dedicated to art, science and hands-on fun for children up to age 8.

Mel was formerly vice president of corporate affairs and a co-founder at BridgePath, an enterprise software provider to the staffing industry. BullHorn, Inc. acquired BridgePath in 2002. Prior to BridgePath, Mel worked for Schwartz Communications, a leading technology and healthcare PR agency. Previous experience also includes work for a U.S. congressman in Washington, D.C.

Mel is involved with several non-profit organizations, including Boys & Girls Clubs, Building Readiness in Tomorrow's Entrepreneurs, love.fútbol, U.C. Berkeley's California Alumni Association, and Global Degree (an e-journal on globalization). He holds a bachelor's degree with majors in History and Rhetoric from the University of California, Berkeley, and is a member of the National Eagle Scout Association.
